The Crew

IMAG0932-1-1Jerrad – Growing up in a southern California coastal community, the ocean was meant to be a part of Jerrad’s life. He fell in love with sailing his first time out on the water. In search of a simpler way of life he closed his business and spent the last year preparing the boat for the 4300NM journey.

Likes: Ice cream, smart dogs, a fresh breeze and clear water

Dislikes: Cold weather, bland food, starless nights and mold


20130206_120717Josie –Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Josie has lived in California for the past 13 years. She is new to sailing, and is learning as she goes along in this once-in-a-lifetime trip. She will continue her career as a Physician Assistant once the couple has reached their destination, and new home, the US Virgin Islands.

Likes: Spicy food, Donald Duck, good naps and blue sky

Dislikes: Liver, cockroaches, damp blankets and mud


20130125_205543Gidget –  A 3-year old Australian Cattle Dog, adopted from a family that couldn’t take care of her, Gidget is energetic, loyal and always ready to eat or play. It might take a while for her to warm up to you but once she does you have a friend for life.

Likes: Food, socks, beaches and Daisy

Dislikes: Hoses, strangers, bridges and realistic statues

  1. Dislikes: Liver, cockroaches, damp blankets and mud AND you are moving to the Virgin Islands???? That is the land of cockroaches (they fly down there), dampness and mud, OMG, mud was invented there. Good luck.

  2. I hope the roaches over in the carribean aren not as nasty and with random flying pattern as they are in Indonesia, but they are still roaches regardless. Get one of those bigger electric racquet to defend yourself. 😉
